At the heart of excellence in all things — the standard Bernard Ehlers set in 1886, and the one Jean and Sylviane Leducq returned to this land in 1987. At the heart of a purpose greater than profit.
Our story begins with the wine, and 1886 is where that story took root, the year the stone winery still standing at Ehlers Estate today was completed. Nearly a century later, Jean and Sylviane Leducq brought their French heritage to this land, inspired by the great châteaux of Bordeaux, with one aim: wine worth the legacy.
That aim still shapes every decision. Our contiguous 42-acre St. Helena vineyard, certified organic since 2008, is farmed block by block, each with its own soil and character. From vineyard to cellar, we intervene only when necessary — because the less we do, the more the wine can say for itself.
